✈️ I'm excited to announce that I'm in the planning stages of launching the very first BYOP Flight Club for kids! I am proud to be partnering with Arbor Circle to provide children in foster care with an unforgettable introduction to aviation through flights generously donated by Young Eagles Chapter 211. This initiative is especially meaningful because the inspiration behind BYOP began with my own childhood experiences in foster care, where aviation encouraged me to dream bigger and helped shape my vision for the Be Your Own Pilot brand. The BYOP Flight Club is about more than flying—it's about inspiring kids to believe in themselves, explore new possibilities, and realize they have the ability to chart their own future. A special thank you to Arbor Circle and Young Eagles Chapter 211 for helping me bring this vision to life. I can't wait to share more as plans continue to take flight! Be Your Own Pilot. Helping Kids Find Their Voice and Become Their Own Pilot
I am proud to support Kids-TALK Children's Advocacy Center through The Guidance Center and its annual fundraising gala in Detroit. As part of the event, I will serve as a sponsor and donate BYOP timepieces for the charity auction, helping raise funds to support the important work Kids-TALK provides to children and families.
This partnership has a deeply personal connection to the story behind BYOP Watches. Before founding the brand, I spent more than 27 years in law enforcement, including extensive experience conducting investigations and working with children, families, and community organizations. My professional career included working directly with Kids-TALK and seeing firsthand the importance of providing children with a safe environment, support, and a voice during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
That experience, combined with my own childhood experience in foster care, reflects the true purpose behind Be Your Own Pilot.
I founded BYOP Watches on the belief that where your journey begins does not have to determine where it takes you. Through my aviation-inspired watches, community partnerships, charitable giving, and experiences that encourage young people to dream bigger, I hope to inspire others to overcome challenges, discover their own direction, and Be Your Own Pilot.
Supporting Kids-TALK is another opportunity for me to put that message into action while giving back to an organization making a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
